The Community Council is made up of members of the community of Ynysybwl & Coed-y-Cwm.
The Councillors are elected by the public to serve a term of mostly four years. They give up their time on a voluntary basis and are not paid for the work they do, nor do they receive expenses.
The Community Council does have the following paid employee, Alison Morris who is Clerk of the Community Council. Alison is at the office on a Thursday Morning between 9am til 2pm.
Meetings are usually held on the first Monday of each month at the Ynysybwl Regeneration Partnership Offices, 20, Windsor Place, Ynysybwl at 6.45 p.m.  The Notice of the Monthly meetings are placed on the notice board in the village and in Coed-y-Cwm and also on the website.

There are 12 Community Councillors and they are listed on the web site. The Community Council is a non-political Council.
Elections are mostly held every four years and all residents can apply. Where there are Casual Vacancies these will be advertised in the Notice Boards and on the Website.
